When your car won't start one of the first things we will check is the health of your battery. If it seems in good health but has run down to become flat then it can be recharged. There are a couple of ways of doing this either by jump starting, which is connecting to the battery of another vehicle or connecting to special battery charging unit, connected to a mains supply. This range can be down to a combination of factors such as the quality of the battery itself but how and how often a car is driven will effect how it charges as will it's long term storage. Avoiding lots of short trips and keeping your vehicle in a stable temperature environment will aid in its longevity

if possible. We would always recommend choosing a battery which has at least a 5 year guarantee as this will give you peace of mind and if it doesn't last that long we will facilitate a free replacement with the manufacturer, if fitted by us.

When we replace a battery we always check the connection terminals. A corroded terminal is not going to get the best out of your new car battery nor is it likely to help is last to as well either.
